5 Best Science Experiments for Preschoolers

Science experiments for preschoolers are terrific idea to satisfy their inquisitive mind and to dispense their abundant energy. You can start with simple experiment that will engage them in fun activities too. Yes, science is not something above their level. Here are several ideas for you to try.

Color Lab

You will need containers, water, food coloring, and several related instruments you can find in your kitchen. Give the water in each container a different color. Your kids can learn about color and see what happens when we mix it. They will instantly like it, and in most cases, they will try to invent more combinations and colors.

Water Displacement

You will only need stones and rocks, a plastic container in clear color, and a water marker. It is preferable to use a container with wider opening. Fill a half of the container with water and mark with line right on the water surface level. Then, you ask your toddlers to drop the stones and rocks one by one. They will be amazed that the water gets higher.

Puffy Painting

Toddlers like to pain a lot. You should try to mix flour, salt, and a little water and food coloring. This should be mix until it felt like yoghurt. Prepare a rather thick paper, and let your kids draw there. When you are done, get the painting into the microwave and process it for 30 seconds. It’s gorgeus!

Bottle of Ocean

This is classic game for preschoolers. Get a clear plastic bottle, and fill half of it with water and several drops of blue food coloring. Let your preschoolers shake the bottle and mix it. Then, you should top the water with cooking oil. Ask your kids to shake it again to see the ocean inside the bottle.

Special Card

Instead of making it conventionally, you can use crayon and white water color. First, prepare a blank paper from drawing book and fold it into two sides. Ask your kids to write down something like “I love you” or “Be Happy” using white crayon. Then, ask them to make random colorful painting with water color. The result is superb!
